STUDIO POLICIES
(COVERING MOST FAQs):
Please sign up online. Advance reservations are required. Classes/teachers are subject to change. 1) There is a 24-hour cancellation policy required (via email or phone).
2) If you do not cancel before the 24-hour window, you will be charged for the class.
3) All purchases are nonrefundable.
4) Packages are good for 6 months and cannot be extended beyond the expiration date. WAITLIST:
If a class is full, indicate that you would like to be placed on the waitlist. 1) If you get into the class, you will be notified via email.
2) If the notification occurs MORE THAN 24 hours in advance AND you cannot come, you are required to let the studio know or you will be charged for the class.
3) If you are notified LESS THAN 24 hours in advance AND you cannot make it, you will NOT be charged -- but let the studio know regardless, so someone else from the waitlist has a chance.
4) Please do not use the waitlist for more than one class/day or if you are in a class already. LATE CANCELS:
Late cancels occur when you cancel a class less than 24 hours before the start of the class. 1) You will still be charged for the class, even if someone else takes your spot.
2) Clients who repeatedly late cancel will be asked not to schedule in advance and drop-in for classes.
3) If you cannot come to your scheduled class, but can come to another class on the same day, you will not be charged a late cancel for the original class. Please let the studio know. NO SHOWS:
No shows are not the same as late cancels. 1) If you DO NOT come to class and DO NOT let the studio know, you are marked as a NO SHOW.
2) If you incur more than two no shows, you lose the ability to schedule in advance for 30 days.
3) This is strictly enforced for clients who NO SHOW for classes that have a waitlist. KICKSTART:
Kickstart is a customized workshop for new clients or existing clients. 1) The workshop costs $60 plus tax.
2) The workshops are offered 2-3 times/month. Please check the schedule online.
3) The workshops are limited to 5 participants and run 1 hour and 45 minutes.
4) Workshop purchases are non-refundable, although you may reschedule. PRIVATE SESSIONS:
The business model of the studio is based on Pilates being accessible and affordable by offering small group classes at a fraction of the cost of a single private session. That said, there are cases where a private session might be beneficial: 1) You are an existing HSP client recovering from an injury or have taken time off.
2) You want to finesse your class technique with a one-on-one session.
3) You are a beginner and cannot make it to any Novice classes and/or the KICKSTARTs. Please contact the studio directly to discuss the possibility of a private session, noting beforehand: 1) Private sessions are $80 and separate from the cost of class packages.
2) Private sessions can ONLY be taught by the owner of the studio. All other HSP teachers are contractually bound NOT to work with HSP clients on a private basis.
3) Scheduling private sessions is on a case by case basis. ATTIRE:
Workout clothes and socks are required. Socks are available for purchase or wear your own. MISC:
Only cups of water or water bottles are permitted on the studio floor. Please no coffee or tea. For safety reasons, please do not chew gym while you exercise. Cell phones should be turned off unless you absolutely need to be reachable.

How many times a week should I come to see a difference?
You will see a difference in how you move and treat your body coming once a week. For the best physical and progression results try to come 2-3 times a week.
How come there are so few Novice classes?
Most of my clients started at Novice and kept improving. So will you! If you do not see a Novice class on the schedule that works for you, try a KICKSTART workshop.
How many classes should I take before I move to the next level?
Everyone is different, but as a general rule 3-5 Novice classes before an Novice/Open class, 10 Novice/Open classes before an Open class. Instructor approval is require to attend Sculpt classes. Or, just ask your instructor if you are ready! It helps us to know you want to move ahead!
Why can’t I get into any classes?
Are you booking ahead? Are you using the waitlist? Are you coming on Tuesday or Thursday mornings or in the evenings when the classes are less full? Still? Call me and we can work it out!
